Long time user -- I would not recommend!

Purchased and installed in 2021. Washer recently broke during a wash. Bosch Factory Service came out, did zero troubleshooting and then ordered 5-6 parts, including the display. The display was backordered until Jul 31 -- 2.5 months. So at a minimum will not be repaired until then. I would not recommend Bosch appliances because their factory service does not actually troubleshoot the problem, they just replace parts and hope it works, and they don't seem to have control over their inventory, having a critical part on 2-1/2 month back-order is just unreasonable.

not so happy with this machine within first couple of weeks of use I have to call service as the machine leaks all the time whenever water is turned from the top of the door seal inlet. when i called bosch they don't even know who their authorized servicers are. going back to the appliance store to see if they can fix it.

So far things seem to be working, install though did not go well. We purchased this product with stacking dryer; vendor did not provide special 220v plug with 2 outlets, so install had to be delayed for electrician. Install team then failed to align hoses in rear so machine could be pushed back to 3" from rear wall per manual, so bathroom door could not be opened. This then required another service visit. Machine seems fine, support not.

We have had this washer for the past 6 months and has been a major upgrade from an expensive "other brand" we had many issues with. The cloth are cleaner which I would not believed if it wasn't for seeing it with my own eyes. It is much quieter and from my energy tracking utilizes less power while still within the same cycle range as our older machine. The app is a nice plus to just help me keep track of our load status.

I bought a new Bosch 500 Series clothes washer and heat pump dryer from Home Depot. They were both delivered in a seemingly new condition; but, upon hooking them up and trying to use them, it became apparent that they both had been dropped in shipping because neither on worked properly. The washer would not start because there was plastic debris lifting up the AquaStop float. The dryer's drum squealed like a stuck pig from the get go...Upon inspection of the interior, It had multiple broken, plastic pieces as well as a warped drum roller. Perhaps Bosch does indeed make an excellent product; but, their shipping and packaging design is crap. As a customer, when I buy an expensive, brand new appliance, I expect it to be plug and play. To date, this is the worst appliance purchase I have ever made.

Althought it is a compact machine, it meets my needs. The machine is heavy and feels solid. The only problem I had with my washer was the first unit that I received contained some defects. The cap on the door suddenly fell off within two weeks. I had to go through a long and unpleasant procedure of the manufacture warranty claim for replacement since the repair parts are not available. Other than that, I have no problem with the machine from capacity, efficiency, to functionality. Till now, they still meet my expectations. I like the machine and its design. However, considering the difficult level of dealing with the customer services in case there is an issue with the product, I probably will not purchase from Bosch for large appliances in the future.

Broken Washing Machine

My Bosch washing machine worked well for three months. It broke five weeks ago and it still isn't fixed. Repairman has been to our house twice. Ordered part for the door for the second visit. Wasn't the problem. Ordered a control board About three weeks ago. We have not heard from him. The customer service woman I spoke with a couple of times. She was rude and hung up on me when I asked to speak with her supervisor. After paying $3200 for a new stacking washer and dryer I shouldn't have to be going to a laundromat to do my wash at 72. I am extremely disappointed at this point. Please just fix my machine soon.

I was a little concerned that my laundry time would be extended with the smaller drum size. Not the case! This washer fits more than I thought it would and I'm not stuffing it to gills! I also like that I can use my laundry sheets and powder without any issue at all as I stopped using liquid detergent years ago. Cleans very effectively and I could barely hear it running. I was actually able to watch a TV show while washing, which I could never do with my old washer. Loving this upgrade!

This new washer was purchased brand new and installed in April 2025. Now we are in July and won't turn on. Because of possible upcoming tariffs I did something I would never have done before. I purchased it sight unseen with the guidance of Bray & Scarf, the appliance dealer. When it arrived very much to my surprise it has no dials that you can grab onto. It's all a dashboard. I was also taken aback by the black glass. I cannot see if the clothes are moving around once on. It has cleaned the clothes decently and up until now it was actually fun to have a new washing machine after 20 years. So disappointing.

After only a few days of use the 500 Series washer/dryer (stacked) has made good on my pre-purchase guess that Bosch appliances are better design and quality than most others (and certainly better than anything made in America). One instalation glitch -- the power cord for the washer was about 8" too short to reach the (required) outlet adapter. The installing tech opined that the cord is soldered to the machine so replacing the original cord wasn't an option. We built a pedestal to raise the machine enough to connect the cord -- certainly not what the tech (or I) expected! Washer is quiet in operation and washes and spins with virtually no discernible vibration. Getting both machines internet connected didn't go as advertised either but (after an hour or so of Google/trial-and-error) I finally succeeded. Not convinced yet that I really need "smart" laundry appliances but Bosch hyped the feature and, presumably, charged me for it, so I was determined that it should work! All-in-all I'm happy with my choice; time will tell if Bosch lives up to the initial impression.

Love My New Bosch Series 500 Washer

Love my new Bosch washer. The LED touch display is simple and intuitive to use. The presets are all useful and make doing the laundry less of a chore. Super quiet. Although this is a smaller washer, the drum is a nice size for our family. Love the app and the notifications I get when the cycle is complete. Cleaning is outstanding, and spin cycles do a good job removing water. Use pods for detergent, so have not taken advantage of the ability to control liquid detergents. Did have to clear the drain plug due to leaving items in a pocket that ended up by the drain plug - but emergency drain process was simple and easy for me to perform (far different than my previous washer where I had to call a service tech in). Overall, I am thrilled with this machine and highly recommend it.

I can't say enough about the design and reliability of Bosch's compact washer. I rececently purchased the 500 Series after my previous Bosch washer/dryer were slowing down after 21 years. During that time, I never had to replace a part or call on a Plumber and was always pleased at how nice my clothes would look after the washing cycle, be it synthetic, silk, jeans, etc. so, you can imagine, how thrilled I am with my latest Bosch that exceeds what I had before. While the unit is a little deeper than before to accommodate a larger drum, I have noticed that my clothes, especially, towels, and bedding, are almost dry after coming out of the spin dry, but not overly wrinkled. As a result, I would highly recommend the Bosch compact to anyone with a limited space (condo/apt) and who realize that paying a little more upfront may save you so much more over the years because of the amazing reliability and quality that this brand is known for around the world.

Replacement for My Old Bosch Axxis Washer/Dryer

I just replaced my old Bosch Axxis washer/dryer with the 500 series and hope that I get the same incredible quality that I received from my original set that I had for 21 years. Yes, 21 years, and never required a service call. The ONLY reason I decided to purchase a new set is because the dryer was starting to show signs of needing replacement. The washer, however, still worked beautifully! Based on this performance, I would highly recommend this brand. Yes, it is expensive, but it gave me 21 years of incredible service! I had first learned about this brand (and another great European brand) when I had lived outside of the US years ago and would not settle then for anything else and was determined to have this brand again. While I did have to make some structural changes this time to accommodate the depth of the new products.

I was happy with the older version (lasted 15 yrs) and so I purchase the newer model. So far, everyhting is fine and clothes are clean. I was concerned about the "do not use bleach" warning but have resolved this using oxiclean packets. In the complaint department, there are too many washing options to deal with. I've selected and use a few and ignore the rest.

I had the old version WAS2446OUC around 2008 and starting around last year 2024, it start giving out. I thought about changing to a new brand completely, but decided to stick with Bosch and get the slightly bigger version (2.2 to 2.4). This new one has been amazing. The washer has many settings. It is very quiet. It cleans very well. I have not used the Home Connect yet. What I don't like is in the manual it gives a description of each of the wash settings, but it doesn't say how long it takes to run.

I like my washer just fine. I have two gripes. First, water temperature has to be click EACH time rather than being able to set a default. Second, there are too many different settings.

Spin speed is great! Quiet operation, too

Things come out feeling nearly dry because of hte high spin speed, which is great. Startup time is just long enough to be a nuisance relative to instantaneous operation from a mechanical switch, which is what cost this a star.

Bosch 500 Washing Machine

22 year old Bosch WM died so figured just get a new one. This is the very latest model that came out last spring. Higher capacity and much quieter than the old one. Alittle concerned that the additional complexity will decrease longevity. I did have an factory defect in the first one and Bosch worked with the dealer to get a replacement. The upside to the defect was it caused an internal leak and the leak detection worked and shut things down.

What a machine! I am in awe. So many features and if you have the Home Connect App there are even more. I love how the app lets you know when to run a drum clean and if you have added to much detergent. Best of all it is so quiet and it doesn't feel like a jack hammer is going off in my kitchen. The clothes come out smelling so fresh. way better than the monster sized washing machines. This washer is sleek and sophisticated. Fabulous.

Great Washer

This washer replaced my old Bosch washer, which lasted 20 years. It's the same outside dimentions as my old washer but the inside is bigger, which is good. I like the various programs and I also like the ability to choose my own way of washing. I appreciate the helpful videos and the ability to contact Bosch if I have a question or problem.
