We had to replace our Kenmore Elite, which at the time we purchased it, was in our opinion the main competition for the Bosch 18" dishwasher. I cannot believe how much better this machine is. While it looks smaller on the interior it actually fits much much more. It's so nice being able to wash ALL of our dinner dishes at once instead of a relay race of dishwashing. The noise reduction is much superior as well. The only reason you know it's on is because the light is shining. I was a little iffy on the wifi connectivity but that is also useful for some purposes, such as the reminder to clean the unit and when I'm low on dishtabs or drying liquid. Overall very satisfied with our purchase and hope to get great longevity out of it.

Appliance is quite. The quality is great with stainless steel interior. I love the top drawer where I place all my big cooking utensils. The flatware tray is unstable when only a few things are loaded. It might be operator error. I like the light on the floor to indicate that the washer is running. It is hard to tell if the machine is running since it is so quite.My dishes come out clean. I am happy with the product. I am still learning all the settings.

Extremely well-designed internal dishracks gave me enough space to load dishes from a dinner for 8. Runs so quietly, I can't tell when it is on unless I look for the light.

This 18" dishwasher is perfect for my retirement needs. Cleans great and is Bosch quiet. My only frustration is with design, some may like the utility tray on the top for utensils but sacrifices space on the upper rack for drinking glasses which now have to go on the bottom rack taking up plate space. Hard to get everything to fit for a full load.

We recently remodeled our very small kitchen and this 18 inch dishwasher has all of Bosch's wonderful features in a compact size. It is so well designed on the inside that it will hold all but a couple of bowls of our service for 8 dishware and is wonderfully quiet.

Unit is quiet and cleans well. But the stainless front is rusting / pitting after only 3 months. Only cleaned it as suggested. For this money, a higher quality panel should be included.

I've never owned a Bosch before and, after a year of using this dishwasher, I see why all the fuss. It's quality is very apparent in the design (love the 3rd rack and lift and lower 2nd rack) the feel (smooth and solid) and ease of use. You definitely get what you pay for with this machine.

What I've realized is that no matter what size you purchase a standard 24" I had in my old house or the 18" version I have in my new studio style 2 bedroom house you just can't beat the quality. There is very little noise when the dishwasher is running until you hear the ending beep I'm done....Love the 3rd row for knives and silverware and stuff like that. No need to shop for any other brand. Just a matter of whether your a 300, 500 series or an 800 series purchaser.

i love this dishwasher. The extra tray for utensils, and the resizable trays, and built in water softerner. My dishes are cleaner then they ever been.

4 stars because when it drains it is VERY loud. Do not know it is running until it drains and then the sound is bad. Cleans well and after some practice and adjusting the middle shelf holds a lot.

In remodeling our 1902 kitchen, we had to choose a smaller dishwasher. The Bosch 18" has been a great choice. The trick is to learn how to efficiently load it and you can get more dishes done.

My dishwasher makes a rhythmic clicking noise when it's running, even when completely empty (including racks taken out). Likely has to do with something broken with the lower spray arm? Anyways, taking a star off for the manufacturer defect, otherwise it's a great dishwasher.
Cleaning performance is excellent. There's even a mini spray arm at the top of the dishwasher so the utensil rack doesn't need to depend on the middle rack spray arm. And while it's not "whisper silent", it's quiet enough to not be the least bit disruptive (if I ignore the defect I mentioned above)
My dishes come out dry unless the bottom of a cup/bowl is concave and able to hold water. Plastics will be a bit wet, even with a rinse aid.
A feature I would have loved is FlexSpace™ Tines but it is unfortunately not available in the 18" models.

The dishwasher has quality construction. There is a lot of storage capacity for an 18" compact appliance, which includes three pull out drawers rather than usual two. I have used not only the suggested rinse aid but also the salt for softening our very hard water. It is also easy to clean filters for any debris. I am extremely satisfied with the dishwasher and would highly recommend. This is my first Bosch appliance and will not be my last.

We are now 2 months using the Dishwasher, great performance, low water consumption and easy to clean. Our kitchen is small and using 18 inch cabinets, it just fits perfectly. Our relatives did not believed that we found one to fit.
The noise level is amazing, at first we did not notice and opened the door, now we are checking the red light in the floor.

The 18" Bosch 800 is perfect for our tiny kitchen. Capable of all that we ask it to to. Plenty of space for table settings for a family of 4. It's super quiet- we often run it at night and wouldn't know it was running were it not for the indicator light.

We have been delighted with this purchase. The three levels maximizes space in this smaller dishwasher. It is incredibly quiet. We use the eco setting and the dishes come out clean every time.

Thank goodness for the red light that shines on the floor. You cannot tell that this dishwasher is on, it's so quiet.
While it did take me a while to figure out how best to load the machine, I've found that the flexibility built into the design really comes in handy for oversized bowls and pots.
Most importantly, our dishes are spotless and dry (using Finish) at the end of the cycle. Really happy with this purchase

Absolutely the BEST dishwasher. It's compact enough for the 2 of us. Other brands of dishwashers...been through 4 aready over the years..noisy, just doesn't do the job. Bosch is so quiet had to put my hand on the door feel slight vibration to feel if running. There's a light on the bottom corner of the door...but so quiet, I didn't think it was turned on. Dishes came out squeakly clean!! Still pre-rinse because I don't want to clean the filter. Run the dishwasher every other day, compared to every 4 days to fill it up with daily dishes. But, it's the absolute perfect one for us...did I mention stylish too?

I just had my Bosch 800 18" dishwasher installed. I was reading thru the instruction and it states that if you have hard water you have to use a dishwasher watering softening salt. Plus you have to add a finishing rinse everytime you do a load. Had I known this I would not have bought this unit.
