Factory fail 300 Series

Exceedingly disappointed in this dishwasher, which was manufactured before the pandemic. After two years of ownership the current status is the circuit panel doesn't work (constant flashing, despite coaching from repair person). Water leaks from the top of door and this is what may have caused the circuit panel to fail. The third repair person to come noticed there are no seals attached to the sides of the door. Aside from all the problems above, I have the following comments: During the months that it did work, it was amazingly quiet. The bottom rack configuration is not ideal. Off warranty now and we will go buy a new dishwasher. It won't be a Bosch.

This product is amazing!!! It is so very quiet that you don't even know it is running. In fact, I had a mini fit because I thought it's brand new and isn't working!! Then I read further and seen that the light shines red when it is running!!! Thank goodness I read and see. The dishes came out sparkling and shining, works very well, cleans exceptionally, and you don't even know its running

doesn't dry well

I hardly use my dishwasher as I have to dry all the dishes anyway so why bother. I've tried using the sanitize and extra dry features, but still have issues. Cleans well and doesn't make much noise. There is also an odor since day one that has not gone away. I'm sure my lack of use doesn't help.

Overall it's a good product: not noisy and cleans well. Problems: doesn't dry fully no matter what setting you use, especially top racks. Also the plastic handle end cap cracked after 1 year.

To be honest, it is not as good as I had expected. I always rinse the dishes off before putting them in the DW. This is because I do not run it every day - maybe ever 2nd or 3rd day, and I do not want to cause odor. My old Hotpoint cleaned my dishes better than this one for quite a few years. I do compliment y'all on the lack of noise though.

We have had a Bosch dishwasher since 2012 and loved how quietly it runs. When it was time to replace it we chose this model. The newer one has a one-hour cycle which we love. The configurable trays and the easy controls are better than our last Bosch model. The handle matches our other Bosch kitchen appliances!

My old Bosch dishwasher seemed better at drying

Recently bought 2 new Bosch 300 Series dishwashers: one front display and one top display. My old Bosch dishwaser cleaned the dishes great and dishes came out pretty dry except for some water on the bottoms of coffee cups and glasses. These newer dishwashers have left dishes wetter with rust like stains on the silverware. I guessed there may have been changes due to conserving energy or water or both, so tried different programmable settings to try making the dishes come out drier and less stained. Finally, had to buy Finish Jet Dry water conditioner and I am experiementing with the programmable settings and using the "extra dry" button to try to find a way to leave the dishes and silverware drier at the end of the wash cycle. It has been trial and error, but after a couple of months of different settings, I am finally starting to find the dishes drier and the silverware not as stained with water marks or rust like marks. Personal preference visually is the 300 Series with the display on the front of the door over the 2nd 300 Series we purchased with the display on the top of the door and a red light shining on the floor when the cycle is running. The adjustable middle rack feature is nice and has been used to adjust for different sizes of dishes. The top rack is nice for longer cooking utensils and sometimes for silverware. Found the longer cooking utensils don't work in the utensil holder on the bottom rack, since the rotating wash arm will hit them, thus they really must lie down on the middle or top racks. Once had an issue with the door not closing right, so the dishwasher would not start, but my wife opened the door toward the floor and used it as a lever to adjust the placement of the washer in its under counter spot, eventhough it was attached to the sides of the counters with metal brackets, and then the dishwasher worked as before. Don't really know how or why the door got out of alignment with the body of the dishwasher. Other than that, would next time seriously look at purchasing the 500 Series with the door that pops open at the end of the cycle for improved drying, or the 800 Series with improved drying if we can afford it. Love the Bosch dishwashers for how they are so quiet, get dishes so clean, and look great. This one is a replacement for our 8yo model 300 that ran fantastic at 2-3 loads per day (we have 5 kids oldest is 10), finally sprung a leak and we got a new one instead of $200 repair cost. Got the 3rd rack in the new one, that's a nice new feature. I did like the physical input buttons of the old one better. The touch buttons on this one don't always register a touch.
