This dishwasher does an amazing job of washing dishes. The third rack does a good job of saving space that the utensils would otherwise take up on the bottom rack. The second rack has a foldable row of rings that allows larger items to be placed there. Very easy to utilize the space efficiently. The jets have no issue taking off stuck on food. Cleaning and maintenance on the machine is easy and straight forward. My only complaint is that the plastic items on the second rack will likely need dried if you don"t have time to let the dishwasher sit open for a couple hours.

Washer is spacious, great layout on three levels. Especially like the top level for silverware, very convenient. Bottom gets a bit heavy moving in and out when it is filled with dishes. Adjustable height of center section allows for good sized items. The standard 2+ hour running time is pretty long and the controls hidden when closed gives it a smooth outside line but would prefer to be able to see timer as it is running. At least it has a visible pilot light so you know it is on. Drying, however, is not very efficient since it does not use a heating coil and depends on condensation only, which works ok for most metal and dishes, but not very good for plastics which do not dry sufficiently most of the time. I realize this minimizes power consumption, but I have to leave dishes in unit for a long time to allow more drying after the long 2 hour cycle is finished. In short, good cleaning, very quiet, long overall cycle with poor drying quality.

The dishwasher does a very good job with cleaning the dishes. It is very quiet. The one complaint is the dishes don't come out dry. To mitigate this as soon as I hear the tones that the cycle is done I open the door. This solves the problem. Otherwise, the dishes stay quite wet.

I replaced a 17 year old dishwasher with this Bosch, and cannot be more happy with my decision. I'll credit WireCutter with being directed to the Bosch 300 due to its noise rating, and the efficiency of the 60 minute cleaning cycle. I'm in love with the 3rd rack, but occasionally forget that I've left something for a few days. The layout of how my dishes are placed in the dishwasher is sheer genius. I swear this thing was designed for my brand of plates and bowls as they all fit so perfectly. I often forget that the dishwasher is running until I see the red light on the floor indicating that the appliance is in use. I haven't stopped ranting about this to my friends, and have encouraged them to look at the Bosch 300 Series for their next dishwasher.

The first time I turned my new Bosch dishwasher on, I came back in the kitchen 2 or 3 times to make sure it was running! It is so QUIET! It's so well insulated that putting your ear next to it doesn't help. If it weren't for the little red light that shines down on the floor when it is running, you would never know it was on. This replaces a 17 year old Whirpool dishwasher that died, and we have only had it for 6 weeks. My daughter has a 500 series dishwasher that has worked well for several years and is run every day. Our dishwasher only runs about every 3rd day and works well so far. We run it on Auto with the Extra Dry option. Very quiet, cleans all types of kitchenware excellently, and dries everything including plastics well too. We don't pre-rinse our dishes or pans at all and everything comes out sparkling clean. We currently are using some old Cascade Complete powdered detergent, that I had stockpiled, along with the Finish Rinse Aid recommended by Bosch. My daughter uses Cascade Complete pods in her 500 series doshwasher and gets the same stellar results. It took a little while to adjust to loading the different style racks in the Bosch vs. the old Whirlpool, but loading it is fine now that we followed the advice in the instructions. I did find it very helpful to download the complete manual from Bosch's website, as it contains a lot more useful information than the Quick Start guide that comes with the dishwasher. We purchased this 300 DLX dishwasher from a local independent appliance dealer, and I found it fairly easy to install myself with the dealer's advice. We also really like the energy savings and less water usage over our old dishwasher! Hoping to get many years of use from this super quiet dishwasher!

My favorite part of the series 300 is silverware drawer at the top of the washer. I don't need to use the usual silverware basket. That leaves more room for dishes, glasses etc... The filter at the bottom of the washer is easily accessable for cleaning. I've added more than I think I should be allowed and have never had a problem. I would recommend the washer in a minute.

We splurged on this dishwasher two thanksgivings ago. Despite using rinse aid and hitting the "extra dry" button, the dishes are sopping wet after every cycle; and we've tried every cycle. The door leaks and I've paid over $200 to repairmen and still have a leaking door on it; not covered by any warranty. I guess my new philosophy in buying the next dishwasher will be to buy the cheapest one on the market and just replace it every year. Please, please, please: some appliance company make a quality product, like the old days, when these machines lasted 10-15 years!!
