So far, so good - it bakes well and efficiently. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 as (1) I'd like to see the actual time, but I can't when I set the timer and (2) it's smaller than my prior oven which fit in the same space (maybe this is for energy efficiency, but I had to give away one huge baking sheet - I had assumed as the size was the same, the interior cavities would also be).

Off to a rocky start

We purchased this Bosch double oven to replace our roughly forty year old Thermador. A few days after the installation, we tried the self cleaning mode in the upper oven. Less than ten minutes after we started, the inside glass on the door spontaneously shattered. The Bosch warranty people and their local service contractor effected the repair courteously and efficiently, so we were back up and running in about two weeks. Otherwise, compared to our old Thermador unit, the Bosch takes longer to warm up, is noisier, and blows air out into the kitchen rather than out of the house. On the other hand, it heats to an accurate temperature and evenly. It also has many high tech features which may or may not be of use to us. Overall, at this early juncture, it is a mixed bag.

After using the oven for a few months the oven bottom surface started to bend - just like a cheap cookie sheet that is made of thin metal and warps when exposed to heat! I am so disappointed, I thought Bosch standards are higher then the average and feel like a have made the wrong choice.

Worth the Wait

It took 6 1/2 months to get this oven. It's not easy to find a 30 inch wide double oven that has such simplicity. My kitchen aid oven never worked correctly. So far, after 2 months of steady use, I'm very pleased with its performance. The roast function does brown food better than the bake function and the pizza function is wonderful. I've used both ovens at one time and they've held their temperatures and cooked recipes within the specified cooking times. The only quibble I have is that when I want to set a different temperature than the default temperature, you have to jump on the + or -- button quickly or it starts to preheat at the default temperature. The only way to stop it, is to turn it off and start over. It seems like there should be an easier way.

I bought this oven in February 2021. Within a month, it began shutting down, locking the door, and displaying an error message every time I broil or cook at around 450. Bosch has sent a technician out 3 times to replace the control panel, to no avail. I'm now waiting again for a promised return call from Customer Service. A very frustrating and disappointing experience.

Glass door keeps having to be replaced

I have had this oven for 2 years and generally I like all of the functions, I have used the selfclean function several times on both upper and lower oven. The upper one seems to be perfect each time the lower one the glass door shattered the first time I used the self clean process. This was replaced at no cost to us. Then we used it again on self clean recently and the glass door did not shatter but cracked. I purchaed an extended warranty for 5 years from Lowes and upon making a claim to have this repaired I was told they will be refunding me the cost of the entire unit including taxes. That was not what I wanted but now I have to get a company to repair this oven door I hope it will be the last time. Very disappointed at Lowes just bailing on the warranty.

Great Replacement!

Replaced 20+ year old Jennair ovens. Delivery was great - took my old ovens away. Installation was very straight forward - some basic electrical experience and you can do this yourself (if you can find the breaker, you can probably do this). Ovens have worked great these first several weeks. Like the light function and straight forward controls.

We replaced a very old unit so this is obviously tons better. Cooks quickly and evenly. Easy to use. The only negative is the fan that cools it down. It runs for sometimes 15 minutes after we have used it, and it is pretty loud. But it serves a purpose so we aren't too bothered by it. Opening the oven door reduces the time it takes to cool it.
