We have used this for over a month, and I must say looking at it I love it, like all counter depth, expect a smaller fridge but remember you getting more kitchen space infront. Functionally it serves the purpose, water and ice dispenser works perfectly so far. I have not checked the manual to see if the ice maker will stop making ice once the receptable inside the freezer is full. We dont use the ice, so remember to empty this out or everything inside may get frozen. Like cons I read from other users, the ice maker is loud at dumping the ice, and filling the water. But this is what Bosch can work on in the development. Yes, I recommnend this fridge. Love it

Water dispenser keeps freezing up, noisy ice maker

We purchased this model 5/23/22. We have had the ice maker replaced because it was so noisy, spitting ice into the freezer and all over the floor. It still seems to be a noisy ice maker. Also the water dispenser has frozen up 4 times and won't dispense water. The ice maker still works but the water is frozen. Last night I filled my glass with water at 10 pm, at 2 am I went in to get a glass of water and it is frozen again. Once it thawed out on it's own after a week, but the other times the technician has come to see what is going on and fix the problem. Last time the technician called in to Bosch to find out why it is having a problem but wasn't able to get an answer as to what is causing the problem.

This Fridge is just okay. Bought new in sept 2021. As others have written, there is no way to get ice in a normal glass without ice spilling on the floor. The touch screen beeps really loudly for every tocu, and the icemaker is very noisy. the dispensed water is not cold. we Do not recommend for the money. When we can afford to replace it, we will. Love our bosch dishwasher, but this thing is too frustratingly loud and messy

It's stainless steel, looks very good, a side by side and am pleased with it's interior layout. I would have preferred interior water access and ice dispensed in a drawer within the refrigerator. The problem is the very loud "buzzing" during the ice making in the tray. This problem will hopefully be corrected upon arrival of a Bosh technician. One other problem needin to be addressed is the dispensing of ice. Regardless how close a container is to the ice exit ice "splatters".

The unit makes lots of noise. The compressor is noisy The ice machine is a total disaster- lots of ice comes out at one time which is impossible to collect. Ice always ends up on the floor. The drawers are small and too low. Not enough shelves. This was the only unit that would fit into the space in my kitchen cabinets. But, I would not recommend this product.

in 2011, I bought my first Bosch refrigerator, and I loved everything about it. So, 11 years later, I am renovating a different kitchen and wanted the same one. It has evolved a bit, but essentially it is the same wonderful counter-depth fridge. Beautiful and sleek. In 2011, Bosch offered several versions of this model (with single compressor, double compressor and various upgrades), and now they only offer one - with no mention of whether it's dual-compressor... I don't know whether it is actually Bosch or a Whirlpool-designed unit - but I like it a lot. Just like the previous one, it does make some odd gurgling noises, but overall it's quiet and a good value for quality side-by-side design, which is getting more rare.

Very impressed with the refrigerator. There is so much space to shelve gallon jugs of OJ and milk and still have room for all sorts of food. NOTE: Concerned about the door handles after owning it for a little over a month. They are making a squeeking noise, and seem as a result of movement. We will know over time if they are a concern. Are they a concern? Would have liked a drawer for the cheese; there is room for it. The ice machine is absurd as the ice falls on the floor. That needs a design fix. AND the water/ice despenser lever is alreay scatched. I'm not sure how that even happens, I need to push the dispenser with my fingers on the backside of the glass? Hmmm, not a good design. Unable to rate as we have only had the refrigerator for 1 month.

We were limited in terms of what would fit into our 1965 condo space. The Bosch 300 fit the bill, fits, and looks nice. No worries about the product quality. However, the ice maker is very noisy. Loud clicks and pops, loud buzzing sounds every time it dispenses, and a loud water refilling sound, even in the middle of the night. Also, disappointed in the lack of humidity controlled storage, and no drawers for cheeses, meats, etc.

My new refrigerator maintains accurate temps. Although the icemaker makes a loud buzzing noise occasionally to move the ice, it makes plenty of ice and that is appreciated. The shelves and drawers are adequate for all basic food items. Drawers move smoothly. The exterior is maintenance free. So glad I don't have to use stainless steel polish to buff it shiny again. The LED light inside is nice and bright.

Terrible is the word I would use to describe this refrigerator. As said in many posts, the ice maker is very loud, sounds like a chainsaw according to the Bosch rep. If these issues have been reported for years why haven't they been fixed or stop selling this product!

We love our new refrigerator. The controls are simple and easy to understand. The shelves and other components are easy to install and to adjust. Having never had a refrigerator with an ice maker before, we were surprised by the amount of noise generated and ice scattered on the floor. Maybe the Bosch design is better than all others, but I have no information. The ice maker makes enough noise to stand out in a quiet house. It also tends to spray chips of ice to the floor in front of the refrigerator and the water dispenser tends to drip after being used.. If you don't draw ice on a regular basis, then it tends to jam, so you should probably just turn off the water.

Our new Bosch refrigerator works satisfactorily, but has several undesirable features: 1. Ice-maker emits a distrubing "grinding" sound after ice is dispensed and intermittingly. A service mechanic said the sound was "normal". Had I know about this in advance, I would not have purchased the refrigerator. 2. It is virtually impossible to dispense ice into a glass without 2 - 4 cubes falling on floor. 3. The lower refrigerator draw is small and neither of the drawers is easy to open. 4. Having to switch from ice to water on the control panel is a nusiance. Our old refrigerator had two indendent acuators that allowed either to be dispense easily. 5. I would have preferred to have indenpendent cooling coils for the freezer and refrigerator.

I wanted a reliable refrigerator that should't be very fance and hence very expensive. This one seems to fit this goal. The only glitch is that when I changed the water filter it suddenly stopped dispensing water. I was about to call support since I am still in warranty, but this was on Saturday. I had to wait till Monday to call. Somehow after 10 or 15 min it started working. Still don't know what was the cause. That is the reason I am giving 4 stars.

The refrigerator and freezer function fine. I had read reviews that the ice maker is noisy. Well, they all are, aren't they? I was surprised to hear just how noisy (i.e. long moaning sounds) this one is. Today Bosch switched out the ice maker unit but it has made no difference. In the refrigerator, it would be nice if there could be options to add a shelf. Also of note, the vegetable and fruit bins are smaller than those of other refrigerators I have had (with the same footprint).

To all the drama over the ice maker!? It's hard ice hitting cold plastic, it makes noise. There is a whiring sound, I'm guessing when the ice maker is getting filled with water. So yes you can hear the machine make ice in addition to it's job of keeping food cold and frozen. I can say, I've never had a problem with water fill itself, sometimes you can get a ice cube to bounce out when using cubes. But unless you are using a champagne flute, water/ice fall right into the cups I use. For those who hate the ice maker...use an ice tray. Now to my review, the drawers in the freezer are on the smaller side, say 8 steam bags of veggies and it's full. So another drawer would've been nice. Also the refridgerater itself would've been nicer had the lower shelf been replaced with another bin/ or multi=box as Bosch calls it. And Bosch why no option of Measured Fill for the water dispenser on your side by side. Which really is my only complaint with Boschs Water/Ice dispenser. Maybe another side by side model with these extra options? Not everyone likes the Barn Door/ Bottom Freezer design. All in all, any complaints are more on the preference side. It's performed well, in the short amount time we've had it. I've given it 4 stars for good performance and a slight drop in utility bill. A few minuses for the size of the drawers and an addtion of a few more drawers/ bins in each the freezer and fridge would've been nice, but again if your shopping habits are different than us, that may not be problem. This refrigerator is a great size for our kitchen. However, it is very loud when making ice and is heard throughout the downstairs of our house. It seems to do this at least 5 to 6 times a day. Love the configuration, just wish it were not so noisy.

Great Fridge & Freezer, crazy loud icemaker

We like the fridge and freezer, both of which have exceeded our expecatations. Apparently every airplane engine maker in in the world must like the ice maker, and have copied the sound from it for thier jet engines.

The only downfall is the ice maker is rather loud. It is louder than my old fridge. But I wouldn't trade this. Filter system is wonderful.

Bosch Counter Depth Refrigerator

I love the look and style of this refrigerator and purchased without seeing it on display. It fit my dimensions and style and was delivered in 2 days from Grand Appliance. One negative is not being able to move the door storage trays they are all fixed and can't be repositioned. The ice dispencer is loud but you get used to it once it fills up the bin. If you don't need a large refrigerator then this is a great unit.

Disappointing

We bought our Bosch refrigerator bc we love our Bosch dishwasher, but to our disappointment, we needed repair within a week of delivery. The water dispenser ceased to work. The water line would freeze each day. Today a repairman will be replacing the freezer door due to an insulation issue (not enough in door). Fingers crossef that it solves our issue.

Great fridge, sleek looking!

My only complaint is the noise when the water is refilling, however I'm not sure if the fridge is to blame or the Culligan water filtration system it's connected to. It's not constant though, so I let it pass, especially for the cost. It's has plenty of space in the fridge and freezer (keep in mind it's used in our vacation home) and keeps things appropriately chilled. I also like the shape of the ice cubes, they tend to breakdown easier in a cocktail shaker! The counter depth is a true counter depth, some seem confused by the specs, but its easy to see on the sheet. I'm happy with this purchase as of now.
